Yanhua Lu

Research Assistant

Yanhua Lu is a graduate student in Landscape Architecture at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She got her bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture at Beijing Forestry University in China. During the past six years studying in the field of Landscape Architecture, she is strongly interested in urban renewal and tactical urbanism, especially revitalizing underpass spaces. Lu has interned in a few firms dealing with suburban renewal and campus planning.

Lu is intended to focus on urban revitalization into practice and get her Ph.D. in urban design in the future. Her work in Design Center includes Stearns Square tactical installation and parklet design build, help renovating legacy cities like Springfield.
